Jamais vu: the phenomenon of experiencing a situation that one recognizes but that nonetheless seems very unfamiliar.
Deja vu: the experience of feeling sure that one has already witnessed or experienced a current situation, even though the exact circumstances of the prior encounter are uncertain and were perhaps imagined.

Have you ever woken up from a dream, but no matter how hard you tried, you just couldn't remember what it was about? You recall that it was exciting, scary, or strange but nothing else seems to come to mind. There is that brief moment after waking up when you experience a combined feeling of being in your dream space and being awake. The effects of your dream is still lingering on you as you're waking up. This explains why you feel the presence of the dream, but not the content of it. It's that same feeling that will sometimes trigger the sensation of deja vu or jamais vu. This is a blog created specifically in appreciation for that dream-like impression and for dreams in general. These photographs and images of surreal, obscure settings will hopefully help you recall dreams you can't remember or help you revive that serene state of mind only familiar to you when dreaming.

My blog is open for submissions as well, so if you happen to find a photograph or image that triggers deja vu/jamais vu for you, please feel free to share it here.
